Mark Your Calendars!
The cover reveal for Monstrous Beautiful Things is coming on May 14!
Good morning, friends,
I have been waiting forever to reveal the cover of Monstrous Beautiful Things, my upper YA dark fantasy horror romance out from Peachtree Teen on February 9, 2027! But I promise you, it is SO worth the wait. There are some really beautiful things going on, a bucket list-level artist, and extra secrets to be teased, too.
So, mark your calendars for May 14 at 10am EST. I’ll be dropping it on IG, of course, in addition to revealing it on my newsletter.
In the meantime, you can help my publisher know people are interested in MBT by adding it on Goodreads! (My kingdom for the ability to change the old cover placeholder…)
A little more about Monstrous Beautiful Things:
A darkly gothic sapphic body horror fantasy steeped in medieval history. Perfect for fans of Ava Reid, Rachel Gillig, and The Starving Saints.
Plagued by sick headaches that are considered an ill portent in her superstitious village, Ediva has long prayed for a cure. When her prayers are finally answered, it isn’t by the Goddess, but learned men from the North who claim Ediva’s pain makes her special. Upon their orders, Ediva traverses the shimmering auras that appear with her sick headaches to the Otherworld—a strangely beautiful plane where Ediva is free of pain yet haunted by many-limbed beasts.
Pursued by horrors, Ediva is saved by a hard, fearsome girl named Brigid, who claims these men aren’t trying to take away their pain but give it purpose. But things lurk in the Otherworld that are more dangerous than mere men. To save the girl she loves, Ediva faces a choice: retreat to a world where her pain means nothing or become like the monsters she fears.
This gothic gem is prefect for readers who love clashes between decaying gods and upstart cults with a heart-rending sapphic monster romance.
And if that doesn’t convince you, here’s a gorgeous gorgeous vibe check:
See you on May 14!! xoxo
